It’s been a while. Let’s catch up.

…but let me catch my breath.

So…a lot has been happening. Others may not think so much, but this old gal just retired last week after working full time for the last 49 years and I am exhausted.

Tattoo Quilt: All blocks and center panel are pieced, and I’m almost done ripping off the paper! And yes, it is the ONLY project I have worked on this year.

Studio: I had been researching electronic or digital cutters. After going down the YouTube rabbit hole, I borrowed Cindy’s ScanNCut. End result was going to the Brother dealer to look at the 325SDX, and buying a floor model of the Brother Luminaire XP3 that came with the ScanNCut 325SDX. I start machine classes next month, and the plan is to quilt the Tattoo Quilt on this machine using a combination of built-in background fills and others I will (hopefully) create. I am selling The Beast, my Bernina 770 QEE upgraded to a Plus. I am keeping the Beaut, my Bernina 790 Plus.

The blog: I am reevaluating my process and am thinking about more photos and less chit chat—please stay tuned, but you probably won’t hear from me again until January. Who knows?

Family and friends: oodles and oodles. Life and, unfortunately, death.

More rabbit hole adventures coming—in the meantime, go make!
